Skiing trip....

Upon arrival....

Time passes rapidly and before we realize it we’ve celebrated Christmas and New Year…… It seems like not so very long ago Vincent and Jenna were in Seoul and spend Christmas with us, just after our4 30st Anniversary and they presented us with a long ski-weekend in Sälen  in the province of Dalarna, about 420 km north of Stockholm.

This past weekend was arranged to consume our present together with our youngest “child” and his wife. For Anders and I it was 14 years ago since we were on skies and to be honest I’ve never been very good at it and always feel a bit scared, even if I don’t take a slope harder then red but try to stay on green and blue.

We had fun on the trip up which takes longer than one thinks for the weather conditions and small roads don’t give you the possibility to speed up. The cabin Jenna booked was lovely and the snow lighted everything up but it was mighty windy and cold. The weather, being an essential subject when you ski, was at the least said very differentiated, from windy with icy slopes to newly fallen snow and sunshine.

We had lots of fun together and I was proud and amazed how well Vincent takes himself down on his snowboard on the most difficult slopes. This resulted in the fact that I forced a helmet upon him for the speed was crazy. His wife Jenna turned during this trip also to snowboard which she managed fabulously after some training. Anders couldn’t resist and did some snowboarding as well. That resulted in the fact that I was that day the best skier of the four of us! Enjoyable but it’s okay they all are better than I on the slopes for I’m absolutely best in after-ski, too bad I had to perform before I could shine…..

All together a fun long weekend worthwhile to remember.

Thank you Vincent and Jenna!

 First day on the slopes!

Instuctions from a very relaxed son....

Dinner time after a full day!

More skiing but before next tour first a stop at the sport shop to purchase a helmet......

Feels much better for your mother!

No, no helmet for me for the speed I have is.....

Vincent was "daddy" to all of us during these days,
fixing things but mainly carrying his own equipement
and mine :)

Beautiful views...

Time for snowboarding!

The real thing!                                                               Just posing...

Let the easier part begin!

Much easier and more relaxing plus no muscle aching the day after!

Snow, snow, snow, snow!

And our designated driver ;)

Some tours together.....

Waiting for the amateurs to get ready?

So long, goodbye, auf wiedersehn, adieu!

Happy aniversary darling, for it's today!

Returned to our home parallel.....

Getting finished...

Well upon requests… I’m back on BlogSpot but now from another parallel J

Almost two months back in Sweden and plenty has happened and I can say we’ve had hectically times behind us! To move internationally, have a storage containing over 30m3, downsize to have half of the living space we had and do the administration connected to get our car into the country is a definitely a challenge. Luckily I had Anders at home which made it quite easier to handle all the things that need to be done.

Car arrived aftern many weeks but not ready to use yet...

On our way to the recycling station!

Jax, Jenna's and vincents puppy cheering us up during the moving.

First dinner at Lindhagensgatan, with Vincent & Jenna.

We managed to be finished before the next unbelievable life changing event in our life happened: we became grandparents! Our daughter Valerie and her partner Claes got the 4th of November a healthy and lovely baby girl. She will be named, Elliior, Anja, Johanna. The past two weeks we visited the young family and also my parents. Everybody is doing well and we look forward to seeing them all soon again!

Our newest family member; the fair Ellinor!

Mother and daughter!

      Celebrating with Pink Champagne!

Happy family :)

Mom and dad still going strong! We love it!

Singing Dutch evergreens together!

Out and about....

        Preparing for Christmas!

Happy grandmother!

 So long!!!

Returned to Stockholm the day before yesterday and caught up with all administration, shopping and preparing to get back to day-to-day life again. Anders will get back to work tomorrow and I will start my search for a job.
Hope you all are doing well and look forward to receiving your comments here on my blog.
Love Anja
