Traveling
to Seoul was not really planed ahead…. So suddenly I found myself preparing to
go there in the shortest of time. Which didn’t make things very easy for the
present secretary to the NNSC Per Ljungnér and his wife Tina. For I needed or
better said wanted a Base pass for the period of time I was in Seoul so I could
visit my friends still living there. But he managed! Thank you Per!
It was a
strange feeling to return to the sites where I’ve been around so very often. It
felt like home although it isn’t home anymore….
The first
weekend I was lucky to spend with Jaeyeon who took vacation in order to be able
to leave the surroundings of her posting and it was wonderful to be together,
catch up, shop and eat….. And those things I did a lot during my stay. I met up
with friends, shopped ate and drank. Couldn’t meet with everybody but I have
been so fortunate to meet the people I did meet for soon most of them return to
their home countries.
My stay
wouldn’t have been so wonderful if it wasn’t for Pamela who opened her house to
me and made my stay absolutely fabulous. I even got the possibility to spend
time with her fiancé Kevin and had the possibility to assist her in some of the
preparations for her wedding! Looking forward to receiving pictures Pam and once
again thanks for everything!
During my
stay in Seoul the weather was brilliant while back home some snow was falling
down and covering everything, again, with a white blanket…..
Now I’m
almost a week back, no more snow but an approaching spring and many wonderful
memories for me!
