April, April.......

Roosendaal Fransiscus Hospital
Almost a month since I entered a new piece to my blog and quite different from the time in Seoul. Don’t ask me why for I do have the time but somehow I don’t really get to it. But here a update regarding my life.
Vincent, Jenna and Jax had some major changes in their life. Both changed jobs, sold their apartment, bought a house and…. Moved there! I helped…. By watching Jax. Not long after I returned from Seoul and then I received a telephone call from my father that my mother needed surgery on her hip.  Of cause we’d noticed that she didn’t walk as she used to. But I think it anyhow came as a thunder ball rolling towards them. My fortunate parents, who both have passed 80 years and never been in the hospital, got a speed cause in talking care of everything. My mother was scheduled within ten days for receiving a new iliac (hipbone) so preparations needed to be done in a very short time. I arranged my trip to the Netherlands so I could support them for a week.  And on Good Friday we reported at 07:15 at The Franciscus Hospital in Roosendaal. We had emotional days together but were very happy that everything went well and that she came home a couple of days later to start her revalidation. It’s amazing what the medical science can do. Nevertheless, an operation always involves risks and I was very fortunate to have the possibility to be with them and actually be of help and support.
The last day I travelled from my parent’s home in Zevenbergen, to Claes, Valerie and…… Ellinor, in Rotterdam. I had a wonderful afternoon and evening before I returned back to Stockholm with a large bouquet of tulips and thankful thoughts.
Back home the sun shined and spring finally also reached the Nordics. Empty house though, for Anders was a delegate for an official trip to Finland with our Supreme Commander. But late next day we were reunited and could rewind.

Mom and dad just before having the operation.
