After three week in the States we're leaving for Boston, Massachusetts. After a miss with ordering a taxi at 10:30, for I
forgot to mention a.m., Lin managed to get another one for us so we made the
flight. Sigh!
We're bound
for Cape Code to see my good friend Anne and her husband John. For twelve days
we will stay in the families “cottage” in Harwich Port, which is situated on the northern part of The
Cape. This fabulous "cottage" I saw when I had vacation with Anne last year,
although at wintertime, so I'm excited not to only see Anne, John and all her sisters, I also look forward to see The Cape in the sunshine with all it's visitors.
Now I finally meet the last two of Anne’s five sisters, mostly revered to as “the twins". So a bit nervous I was, not only for meeting everybody whom Anne loves so very much, but also to spend all this time as two couples together. That I could be together with Anne I already knew, for we had several longer vacations together, but would it work with our husbands? Well I worried for nothing and I could have known for we both have fabulous men.

John picked us
up at the airport, and half an hour later Sarah, one of the twins too! It was
amazing to meet her…. Very much looking like Anne and not her twin sister Liz,
you’ll see the pictures.
We now were
about to experience the beautiful peninsula with fabulous people. The sites
were beautiful and so was the weather with maybe of the exception of one day.
This doesn’t mean that we went beaching a lot, actually only two full days, but
when you are with people (Anne and Anders) who are having a sensible skin this
is probably already maxed out.
So join me to
look at the snapshots from our time at: “The Cape”
After a lovely cocktail Roz, Liz, Sahra and John when we arrived at "The Cottage" followed by an even more fantastic dinner made by Liz, singing and dansing we had a good nightsleep. This day is Anders' birthday and we were not permitted to hang aroud the house with it's appealing pool..... Something was going on...... Anne and I were very curious but that didn't stop us from enjoying a day at the beach!
Careful Anne! Careful Anders!
They were careful, but Anders not careful enough.....
Liz and Sarah (the twins), Roz and John poring champagne.
Three sisters coming towards us. The youngest of them is Nell. I call her in my mind "whirlwind Nell", for her energy, flair, humor, creativity and straight forwardens.
Celebrating Anders' birthday is to be conducted in "The Fields" way and after the singen and cheering for health and happiness we all have to fill in a questionary to establish what we are: Water; Fire; Air or Wind......
First station: Water! With appetizers and champagne on the terrass.
Now we moved into the living room, third station: Air is the theme and with this a new hat and charades to guess what song all of us should sing. Another fabulous dish and red wine.
A very unique moment, all the sisters, in Cape Cod colors singing, together and apparently this is what they always have done and for us spectators it was fabulous.
From left to right: Roz, Nell, Anne, Liz, Sarah
Time to move into the dining room, fouth and final station with focus on: Earth. Also Cape Cod colors on the dining table and the main dish, lamb!
To all
of you, many, many thanks for an unbelieveble memorable evening!
On our way to town, passing Cape Cod's most photographed.......
Harbor!
we're about to enjoy the towns music evening and I again would like to lurn the shuffle...... but failed.....Again!
However, I try and ment in with Cape Cod cloths:)
More Capy Colors.... Even you fit in now....
Time to travel to the South of the Island, where Nell lives and we are borowing her boat, the "Ladybug" to go fishing on this bit of rainy day.

Vacation?
Beautiful Cape Cod designed houses surounding us.
And a picture in typical Korean style.
Okay? Do you want me too to leave? No! Yes!
Finishing another wonderful day, this time with fresh and delicious lobster.
New day, new possibilities, new adventures, on our way to Marthas Vineyard.
Martha’s
Vineyard is an island located south of Cape Cod and it is the 58th
largest island in the States. It has about 16,500 residents, however, in the
summer the population can swell to more than 100,000 people. The islands
namesake is lost to history although there are some explanations.
While we were finding out where to go and what to do our husbands acted.....
And John...... you guys didn't even ask!
Charming!
Everywhere we look there're very amazing views and the scooter was a perfect way of seeing a large part of the island and we had no problems with the sizzeling sun.
Last morning in the south of Cape Cod we were treated to have a great breakfast and honestly, I chose best! "Hmmmm, lekker!"
Our second beach day, this time on the northen part of the island, and not in the Cape Cod Bay but in the Atlantic Ocean. Did we swim? NO! We just pretent we did, far too cold and far too much current. However, we did see....SEALS!
Anne's "cockpit"
Told you it was freezing cold!
On our last day we went sailing, enjoying wind, water, speed, sun and more SEALS!
But before that we had more nice days and evenings. Got to know Anne's sisters better and enjoyed their company, cooking and singing.
The men promised to make dinner one evening. I expected it was Anders's idea so I knew excactly what would be on the meny.....
So time for us women to enjoy the last beams of the evening sun on the terrass.
Cozy!

Surprice!
Cape Code was a
landmark for early explorers and it may have been the “Promontory of Vinland”
mentioned by the Norwegian voyagers. Cape Cod was among the first places
settled by the English in North America but was originally the home of the
Wampanoag tribe for many centuries.
The name Cape Cod comes from a design of housing
dating back to
the 17th Century
Final evening and we took our friends out for dinner. Beautiful place and wonderful view but too long waiting time..... so we moved on...
And went to this place (forgot the name but the food was wonderful)
Lovely Anne! And to both you, John, but also to Roz, Sarah, Liz and Nell many, many thanks for a great time!
Back "home" again and Lin made a super welcome for us! So also you, Carlo and Lucky many thanks for making this vacation fabulous and posible.
Last but definatly not least we visited Ellen and Garry Roughead and were fortunate to meet their lovely daughter Elisabeth as well.
Spectacular house, beautifully decorated, spectactular surroundings and spectacular people and ..... spectacular dogs!
THE END!

OMG, what a fantastic trip. When do you return to Seoul?
